Medical Advisory Board
Editorial review by practicing oncologists
CancerDrs is a data aggregator, not a clinical advisor. To keep our educational content honest and current, we work with a small rotating board of practicing oncologists who review our patient guides on a quarterly cycle. The goal is simple: if we drift, they flag it. If a guideline changes, they tell us.
How it works
Each quarter, I send ~4-6 draft patient-facing guides in your area of expertise. You flag anything that's inaccurate, out of date, or misleading. You can suggest language, cite sources, or strike sections entirely. I revise and publish. Your name appears as the reviewer at the top of each guide you touch. That's the whole thing.
This is not a consulting relationship. You're not a clinical advisor to patients. You're not vouching for individual provider recommendations. You're reviewing educational content for accuracy.
Time commitment
- Roughly 2 hours per quarter, at your own pace
- Four quarterly cycles per year
- No meetings required. Async email / shared doc.
What we offer in exchange
- A permanent "Nationwide Featured Provider" listing (otherwise $499/year), for as long as you serve on the board, across relevant cancer-type and location pages
- Your reviewer byline with a link to your practice website or institutional bio at the top of every guide you review — real SEO and reputation value
- Quote placement in cornerstone content where you have strong opinions on common patient questions
- Listed here on this page with your name, subspecialty, and affiliation
What we are looking for
- Board-certified in medical oncology, hematology-oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, or pediatric hematology-oncology
- Active clinical practice (within the last 2 years)
- U.S.-based, any state
- Any career stage — we welcome post-fellowship physicians through mid-career
- Subspecialty expertise in one of our 22 covered cancer types is a plus (not required)
What we are not
- Not a consulting engagement. We do not pay cash.
- Not a marketing vehicle. Your name appears on pages you actually reviewed, nowhere else.
- Not a research collaboration.
- Not a hospital-sponsored content arrangement.

We are actively recruiting the first wave of reviewers. If you are a practicing oncologist reading this, we would love to hear from you. Email [email protected].
Editorial independence: Board members do not see sponsored placements before publication and have no role in listing decisions. Their review is strictly for the accuracy of educational content. See our full editorial policy.
