CancerDrs

About CancerDrs

CancerDrs is a data-first patient navigator for cancer care. We aggregate public information from authoritative federal sources and make it easier to navigate when you or a loved one are newly diagnosed.

A short history

CancerDrs has been online since 2014, when it launched as an oncologist directory sourced from the federal NPI Registry. It ran in that form for more than a decade. In 2026 we relaunched the site as a full patient-navigation resource: the directory is still here, but it is now one layer in a much broader stack — active clinical trials from ClinicalTrials.gov, NCI-designated cancer centers, FDA-approved treatments, SEER survival statistics, CMS Open Payments transparency, patient-assistance resources, and plain-language guides for newly diagnosed patients. Every figure we publish links to its primary federal source.

Where our data comes from

What we don't do

  • We don't provide medical advice. We show you data and point you to physicians and institutions.
  • We don't rank or recommend specific doctors. We show you who is licensed where, with verifiable data.
  • We don't accept payment in exchange for ranking position. Sponsored placements are clearly marked.

Medical review

We work with a rotating Medical Advisory Board of practicing oncologists who review our educational content quarterly. We are actively recruiting the first wave of reviewers — if you are a practicing oncologist, see how to apply.
